I just purchased a Stoeger Luger in .22 cal the other day.
Had it to the range and found out it does not like federal ammo, but all other brands seem fine.
This is a neat little pistol, and I am looking for info on production dates and any other general knowledge that i'm, sure is out there.
Also looking for a couple of extra mags if someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks

They were made from 1969 to 1986. The first ones had alloy frames. Later on all steel and target versions were added to the line.
You can get extra mags from Forrest Co. (www.gunmags.com) for $28.

I remember ordering those for $89 and it included two mags, a loading tool, and a flap holster. That was in the late '70's. Fun gun, I heard that the frames were actually made by the Stanley tool company.
The thing that you need to be careful of is when you strip it for cleaning. It is easy to put back together wrong and when you do there is a flimsy part that breaks. I don't know where you would find another part.
