I bought a Sig P238 (.380, of course) and have since seen ammo labled .380 +P. Is this a better self defense load than standard .380? Also, does anyone know if I could fire +P in a Sig P238?
Someone on another forum stated that .380 ammo has always been more expensive than 9mm, etc... Is this true?
Thanks

The Sig P238 has an all metal frame so I'm sure it can handle the slightly hotter ammo but I would contact Sig to be sure...

.380 ammo has been in very short supply so it's going to be expensive. For the most part .380 ammo has always been a little more expensive than 9mm ammo but both were fairly cheap until lately. Prices were 9mm - $5.95/50 and .380 - $8.95/50, at least where I live. Now 9mm will run you near $20 and .380 has been as high as $30 a box.
