If you can't buy JHP in .40 caliber, you could aways make them out of 9mm cases.

.40 caliber bullet dies cost 129$ at www.ch4d.com

I have been buying Berry bullets from Graf & Sons, www.grafs.com. Just received 1000 155 GR 40 S&W and they have good prices and free shipping. I hope this helps.

ill second wanting to know that! Click the link MichaelK provided you under the picture and read all about it on the http://www.ch4d.com/ website.

Bullet swaging using fired cases is a pretty simple if somewhat expensive process.

So far the cheapest place I have found is http://www.missouribullet.com/results.php?category=5&secondary=11 . I just ordered 1000 of the 180's. From what I have read on this forum everyone that orders from them has nothing but positive things to say.

If you want jacketed bullets, Precision Delta can not be beat. In fact, there 180 grain JFP's are less expensive than plated bullets from Berry's.

You do have to buy in quanity from Precision Delta . . . . 2,000 minimum. Since I shoot USPSA, that is only a few months supply for me.

Can't help you with lead.

i get mine form a guy out of Alabama, the company is called "Valliant" they are cast lead and they are very very affordable. he goes to alot of gun shows in the south east, and if you are in a gun club, or do a large enough group buy he will deliver them free in his big pull behind utility trailer.

xtreme bullet (was accu-bullet) They have plated and straight lead. I get these for $55 per 500 for the plated. we have had really good luck with them. If I was to use a lead bullet it would be from Oregon trail bullet Co. (Laser Cast) seeings how they are 2 blocks from me so no shipping.

http://www.missouribullet.com/results.php?category=5&secondary=11 IDP#5 with 5 gr. of Bullseye. A snappy load that works in ANY 40 I have tried it in. A friend I gave some to is now using them in his 10mm and ordered a box. I hand them out when I go to the range, and the reloaders love them. Just keep some in the range bag in ziplocks and let them decide. NO bad reports yet! (Hey, who doesn't like FREE bullets, right?)
