How much wood stock do you need to make a pair of grips, say for a HP or a 1911? I'm talking HxWxD here. I have found some beautiful samples and I am seriously thinking about having a forum member make me a set, but I don't know if the company has acceptable dimensions in their product. Most I am seeing are .22 x 1.5 x 5 inches. I don't think that would be wide enough, probably needing closer to a .25 x 5 x 5 inches piece, am I correct?
