So here is my Colt Officers im pretty much done with.
Work done:
-Fit and blended a new Wilson Combat beavertail
-Fit and blended a new Wilson Combat thumb safety
-Fit a new EGW barrel bushing
-New Wilson Combat extended mag release
-Fit new trigger with mild trigger job (aout 3.5/4 pounds)
-Fit new Wilson Combat checkered main spring housing
-New Wilson Combat slide release
-Polished feed ramp, throat and chamber
-New custom Cocobolo grips

All work was done by me. All thats left is some new night sights that will go on this weekend hopefully. So....What do you think?

Holy cow that's a beautiful weapon! Love the work you've done. I think Colt makes a gorgeous weapon to begin with, but you've taken it to another level. Again, awesome work!

Nice work. I am actually considering purchasing a colt 1911. As a matter of fact I was just on the phone with Colt yesterday and they are sending me a catalog in the mail.

Nice. I had one like that around 1986 or so and sold it.
Although I'm happy with my S&W 1911 I wish sometimes I would of kept it.
I never should have sold my cherry Colt series 70 gold cup but I needed cash at the time.
Your series 80 turned out nice and doing all the work yourself is satisfying.

Very nice ! Have you put 100 rounds thru it with no bobbles? My ugly old Lightweight Officers runs like a clock, now. It has the Heine recoil system in it though and I use Wilson Combat Officers magazines.
