After being on TFL and now THR, I still cannot fiqure out most of the abbrevations used. Is there a list that could translate these? Thanks, Byron

I have this acronym dictionary (http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/) bookmarked in my browser for all the unusual ones that I can't decipher.

Sometimes, it is pointless because someone will post that they use OP and they never explain what they are talking about. OP could be many, many things.

I generally take "OP" to mean Original Poster, the one that stated the tread. But, man, I could be way off. I think the the whole acronym thing is way out of control. I try not to use them unless I think the entire civilized world should know what it is.

It takes a little while but you'll get it figured out. Took me a little while as well so you're not alone.
