This piece appeared around my foot while i had my Norinco m37 model apart this evening. I cant find disassembly instructions online for it but i did find some for the Ithaca 37 proper.

This piece seems to exist no where in there and i cant figure out where the hell its from otherwise as there are no empty recesses this bit could be seated in.

And from the Ithaca diagram pdf i did find, the closet part was the spring assembly under the extractor on the breach assembly - but i didn't take the breach assembly apart :

Id really appreciate the help thanks!

nope!

I'm wondering if it just "fell out" of one of my "assorted crap" drawers under the bench - but the appearance of a matching spring is dubious.

Does anyone have or know who i can contact / where to get a diagram for this gun ? Is it identical to the Ithaca?

I, when working on and assembly of parts, try to have a tray with a soft

white towel lain flat in the tray under the assembly/gun for anything that

falls so it can be captured and the towel is a soft surface that eliminates the

chance of part from bouncing away. Have had the unfortunate experience of

losing parts in the past.

This may not be the case with your situation.:)

see i do all of that and thats how i found this pair. I am honestly stumped tho - there is no where in the assembly this thing belongs from appearances, but its still driving me crazy. Its not that "lost the part" its the "where the hell is this thing supposed to live" thats killing me. If i lost a part it be easier because id know what to replace

Its called a gliton. Latin for extra parts. Sometimes manufacturers place extra parts to try and confuse people. I've got a whole drawer full. Now my wife dont want me working on stuff any more. Gotta love those glitons.

Wait until your Lab pup swallows a screw from your brand new Ruger stainless Vaquero. You sit there for 5 minutes thinking do I order a new screw or.......... Yeah, what am I thinking, order the screw. I still cannot believe he did that, 10 years ago now.

It looks kinda like a base pin latch and spring off of a single action revolver. Who knows.
