Bad, Bad Day

Well, I went to the local gun shop to pick up a speedloader but they didn't have what I was looking for. As I was walking out, I figured I'd look at their gun counter. Not seeing anything, I was about to walk out with I saw a Nagant tucked into a corner. I've always wanted one so after looking it over (its a Tula), I bought it and a box of 32S&W.

As I'm doing the paperwork, I mention that I have a M&P 9c and was interested in one in 45acp. So, he pulls one out and I look it over. It felt exactly like my 9c with no noticeable increase in grip width or weight.

So, I started the day looking for a speedloader and ended it with a Nagant and a serious itch for a M&P45.

It is only a bad day if your bank account says so, otherwise it is cause for celebration.

How much you pay for the Nagant?

Having had mine for a while, I really like it. It's ugly as sin, but I swear when I pick it up the thing fits my hand like a glove :). That has been one of the main guns that has taught me that looks doesn't equal ergonomics. :)

will those nagants shoot 32s&w off the shelf?

Yeah, you can chamber .32 H&R as well, though I don't know if the 1895's metallurgy is up to the task.

They also make .32 ACP conversion cylinders.

I found myself able to shoot an old Ivan quite accurately, even with the heavy trigger. I too found it comfortable to handle and shoot.

I just wish the cost of ammo wasn't so steep, but I have heard that it can handle .32 caliber ammo in various configurations...

Sounds like a pretty decent gun for a variety of applications
