I was at my local gun store today and held a P238. I love the feel of the gun but hate the price tag. Im sure this is the place to ask, what are some pistols about the same size/feel that are a little cheaper in price?

Well since it is a "copy" (or reimaging depending on your falvor) of the colt mustang, which colt is no longer making. The piece is essentially a 1911 styled .380. I am not sure you are going to find something with the similar frame and feel at a lower price.

I have a P238. There are various models and price ranges within the line. So there may be an answer.
What price range are you looking to stay with?
What are your likes/dislikes?
Intended use? Such things as pocket carry? If pocket carry then you may not want to go bigger.
I have been looking at the Kahr's lately, some are a tad cheaper.
If you are looking to get a lot cheaper then to me that would be toward the Ruger LCP or Keltec area.

I'd go with a PA63, or Makrov. You could get a boat load of 9x18,holsters and spare mags with the price difference.

A truly pocket-sized, single action .380? I don't know of any closely equivalent guns, let alone cheaper.

Colt Mustang or Colt Government 380
No crap right?

But if you can find one, they will cost even more.
In terms of size, as well as being equipped with good sights (night sights optional), the Kahr P380 is close. But it is a double action and still costs more.

Just bought a SIG P238, I too just like the feel of this little gun. I paid $539+tax, it has night sights. Don't know how bad I did on price but I wanted it, so I ponyed up & paid it. LM

The mustang will run a few hundred dollars more based on what I have seen them selling for recently.

Sig is a more square copy of a Mustang Its best you going to do unless you pay more for a Mustang . If I didn't have 2 Mustangs I would look serious at the SIG. I just wish they would round off the slide to square looking.

I know a guy in Florida selling his Mustang for $650. My Sig P238 with Titanium finish, rosewood grips and night sights costs $650+ around here but I got it for cost at $500.

Sig P238's seem to have a limited run of the "melted" SAS models out now.

The Sigs come with better sights than the Mustangs did. The Mustang sights can be upgraded by a good 'smith.

I don't know of another single action, locked breach .380 out there that matches the quality of either the Sig or the Colt. You get what you pay for.

it doesn't necessarily have to be a 380, I was thinking more of size and feel. I've held the kahr mouse gun and it felt too small in my hand. The p238 seemed to fill my hand out pretty good for a little gun. I was thinking any mouse gun this size in the 1911 style. I might have to slap the leather and just buy it but just wanted to ask some experience if there was anything that compared on these terms.
