Many friends of the outdoors like the idea to have a simple hunting weapon with them when they're backpacking. A bow and some arrows would be ideal, but then again that would be bulky and heavy. This video shows my home made outdoor slingbow/slingshot survival bag. It contains

- A slingbow (arrow shooting slingshot)
- Three collapsible arrows
- Three razor sharp broadhead tips
- A Hunter Catapult slingshot
- Ten steel balls
- Spare bands and string
- A small multi tool for changing bands in the field

The whole bag weighs less than 3 pounds (about 1200 gramms). It is very small, about 12" x 6" x 3".

The slingbow shown in this video is built around a so-called "whisker biscuit", the core of a popular arrow rest for bows. It does the job very well, but it had to be reinforced with steel in order to make it strong enough.

That is pretty awesome! The way it fits in the bag makes me think that it may actually be easier to carry than my slingshot.

That is extremely cool. Make it with a folding arm brace and more powerful bands and I'd buy one in a new york minute!

Well, braces aren't legal here in Germany, so I have to pass on this one. The bands are actually very powerful, double layered Thera Band Gold.
