What is your CCW loadout?

Just curious mainly from the thread in here where the guy would need a tacticool wheel barrel to carry his daily loadout. What is yall's daily loadout? Does it change from daytime to night? Does it change with the weather? Are you guys crazy and carry an arsenal of guns and knives on your person?

My daily loadout:
M&P9c with Blackhawk IWB holster, sometimes a Kimber Pro TLE with a Bianchi IWB
Gerber 2.5 in blade folding pocket knife
extra M&P mag in the truck (alot of good it does me there) extra mag IWB for 1911 carry
Pentagon belt clip flashlight (rarely carried I seldom find the necessity)
Keys
Wallet
Cell Phone
No backup gun as they are not allowed in my state and I probably wouldn't carry one if I could.

I don't post complete "pocket dumps," and wonder if they even belong in this forum, but my carry pistols do not change often, regardless of the weather. I have several each SIG P229 pistols and SP101 snubbies, and usually tote some combination that includes two handguns, and at least one reload. The rest of what I carry has nothing to do with General Handgun Discussion.

What language to you speak? Load out? I guess you're asking what my carry is. Well, that depends on mood, weather, time of day, day of the month, if I have enough energy to care. :D I keep all my brasswaster carries DAO or DA/SA to mesh with my beloved revolvers in manual of arms...IE DA first shot, no safeties to flip off, long strong DA, too.

I don't carry a belt gun every day, but always have a pocket gun, reload or two, and back that up with a NAA .22 just for good measure. That NAA is the only gun that doesn't change from time to time, always there for back up or to back up the back up. Belt carries I prefer .357 magnum or .45 ACP. Pocket I prefer 9x19 or .38 special. I have a .380, but hardly ever carry it.

7-5 M-F I'm carrying a LCP (in a leather "wallet" holster) and a S&W 411 (in a Passport ambidextrous Hip/IWB), one spare mag each. When I get home those go in the lockup and a S&W 442 always goes in my pocket in a Blackhawk size 3, two speedstrips go in my strongside back pocket, each with 5 more Hornady XTPs and one each .38 shotload (for copperheads). If I'm outside the house (most of the time if it's not dark), a S&W Model 64 goes on my hip (in a Galco Dual-Action-Outdoorsman), and two more speedstrips (with 6 ea PMC Starfire +P SFHP right this moment) go in my other back pocket.

This is typical, but subject to change without notice.;)

edit: I am asking about everything you carry...

oops, OK then add one billfold, one cellphone, one Cross pen, and one semi-large wad of keys.

This is pretty much my standard EDC. I'd like it to be a little less, but I use most of the items so much that it's hard to get rid of anything. Especially would like to carry only one knife, but I tend to like specific knives for different tasks.

http://i396.photobucket.com/albums/pp42/dmattaponi/IMG_17553.jpg

Glock 26 (sometimes a spare magazine, sometimes not)
Multitool (when I need a tool of some kind)

pocket tin (with a bunch of stuff in it)
small Moleskine
prytool

depends. if it's a workday, typically:

G27 in the pocket
extra mag
4" kershaw folder

i can actually open carry at work if i feel like it, but that doesn't help me when i leave the office. i pocket carry over IWB carry because my shirt will be tucked in.

weekend:
G27 in a IWB holster (some no-name one i found at a gun show that works really well)
extra mag
LCP or 442, depending on size of pants pockets
4" kershaw folder

i should probably get some sort of pocket flashlight :hmm: maybe even a pocket fleshlight :D

Well, it has been either a M&P 9c in a Don Hume IWB, or a Kimber Eclipse Pro II in a custom OWB Pancake high ride holster. But now that my wife and I have matching Ruger Speed Sixes...and a OWB Galco holster for mine, as soon as I feel comfortable with it, it will see time in the rotation. I carry one spare mag for either semi, and probably a speed loader for the revolver. I also carry a Kershaw Ken Onion Leek assisted open for a pocket knife.

Yep, sometimes it seems as though there's a group of folks who choose to carry more weapons and ammunition on their persons than I carried on-duty throughout my career in LE.

I do find these sorts of threads interesting and entertaining upon occasion, though.

Me?

I started carrying somewhat smaller & lighter weapons on my own time during the last several years of my career, but the only those with which I did a respectable amount of training & practice and could shoot well. My baseline calibers were (and remain) .38 S&W Spl for revolvers and 9mm for pistols, although I also have a fair collection of 'working guns' chambered in larger & more powerful calibers which still see occasional retirement CCW usage (and which still see a lot of training & practice time since I remained active to a degree as an instructor and armorer).

My most common retirement CCW weapon remains one or another S&W J-frame. Usually I carry 2-4 speedstrips or 2-3 speedloaders, depending on my activities and clothing preferences. If I choose to carry one of my pistols I'll usually carry 1 spare magazine, or sometimes maybe 2 spares. Again, it depends on my planned activities, as well as where I plan to be while involved in my activities. (FWIW, the mag capacities of my most commonly chosen pistols range from 6, 7, 8, 9 to 10 rounds.)

I do tend to place more emphasis on the other things I carry to help me deal with the challenges and tasks which can come along in everyday life, meaning the things other than guns which are generally much more necessary & useful. ;)

The ability to see in reduced light conditions, make minor repairs and cut things that need cutting ... which can include cutting or punching & lighting my cigars ... can be downright handy.

Having the wherewithal to remain in contact with family or emergency services has been very useful while tooling around on the back roads on my motorcycles, too. Having the foresight to carry basic essentials relevant to anticipated circumstances that might be encountered, and which can be carried in my bike's saddle bags and my vehicles, has proven somewhat prudent, too.

Remember when it wasn't uncommon in days gone by to see folks carrying spare tires, blankets, shovels & misc tools, canvas water bags and a gas can when making trips across a desert? (I'm thinking So Cal, but it applied to other areas in the country, as well.) Breakdowns and emergencies could become fairly hazardous for those unprepared to deal with them.

Life is a journey. ;)

I still carry various things which can be handy when it comes to dealing with some of life's unexpected situations, and I raised my children to think ahead and make some simple common sense preparations against predictable circumstances that can be anywhere from inconvenient to downright dangerous, especially if you're unprepared (mentally, physically & equipment-wise).

USP9 you aint carrying enough wheres your AMT Automag III in .30 Carbine and id always carry 15 mags per gun even if it were only a backup to a backup to a backup

seriously guys the responces of "do a search" or any form of "i dont post what i carry" need not apply here or anywhere if you dont have an answer or choose not to answer dont bother posting take it down the road to another forum that tolerates ignorance because thats not THR around here we help and support each other

as for me my EDC (every day carry) items change on where im going

normal day around the house or running to the store i tend to take just the bare minimum
Ruger LCR no reloads
Mini Maglight with Niteize I.Q. Tailswitch and Crenelated Bezel
Sheffield knockoff of a Buck 110
Wallet
Keys
Sunglasses
and a Bandana/Hankerchief

going to school i leave the gun and MiniMag at home but add to that
Zebra Pen
Refillable Sharpie (great kubiton btw)
16Gb Thumbdrive with a Maglite Solitare
Wenger Soldier SAK
Pocket Notebook

going to work all of the above with the addition of

Gerber Shortcut scissor multitool
2-3 HKS speedloaders
Leatherman Wave

i should note that my keys have a few goodies on the rings too like a P38 canopener a bottle opener a Swiss+Tech plier tool and an eyeglass screwdriver

theres also a knife shaped like a key that couldnt cut butter if you heated the blade but it was my dads so it stays

Nothing exciting...or internet/gun-chic I guess...plain ole XD9 stainless, Spyderco Tenacious ($35 or not I LOVE this knife!) NAA with G10 grips from Ebay (did require fitting...pocketclip came off...doesn't work well IMHO) watch is an exciting $10 walmart purchase on a $20 band...and oddly it works perfectly...unlike the last 3 expensive watches I've owned!-LOL) any my new replacement razor...cause I'm not learning a new phome till I get an I-phone...and my carrier just got the contract for them from AT&T so hopefully there is a case that matches for that-LOL! Wife and I both shoot XD9's...they work great...may add a .45 or maybe a XDM in .40 next...think the XDM in .40 could be a fun pin and plate killer at the range...carry wise we are married to this particular choice (XD9) family-wide (the only thing everyone seems to agree on besides Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce! ;).

No backup gun as they are not allowed in my state and I probably wouldn't carry one if I could.

What? How is that?

My usual loadout is a Taurus 709 an extra mag, folding knife, cellphone, wallet. Sometimes I carry my lcp+mag just for convenience. I carry a glock 19 OWB with extra mag if I am going into a more, shall we say "troubled" area. I prefer single stack guns for IWB, they are twice as comfortable! For IWB carry I usually use a Black Hawk IWB clip holster, blackhawk pocket holster for the lcp and nemesis pocket mag holster for all extra magazines. I find the soft material of the blackhawk pocket holster to be much more comfortable than the desantis nemesis rhino hide. I wish they made a pocket mag holster. I used to carry a tactical light, but gave it up when I found a key chain led light that was super bright. My key chain is also not complete without its mini swiss army knife.

I usually leave my tactical chapstick in the car.

"Scottishclaymore". . . like the screen name. My wife and I have one hanging in our family room which we bought in Scotland on our honeymoon.

But to address the question:

My carry weapon changes with my clothing. 9 times out of 10 I have a DW RZ10 in either a hip IWB or Galco JAK slide holster with a spare mag.

If what I'm wearing doesn't permit that, I have a Glock 27 or Springfield XDM in .40 in a small of the back belly band. I don't trust the snap of the belly band to carry the Dan Wesson in it. . . it's come loose before, with the Glock in it. . .(Thank God it was the Glock).

Besides the CCW, my kit is a wallet, keys, phone and asthma inhaler :uhoh: . That's 1,2,3, and 4 of the pre-departure pat down, with 5 being my CCW and an optional 6 is an Ipod.

The only time I bring a flashlight is when I walk the dog(s) at night or if I'm going to some crummy part of town and have the appropriate clothing for one.

This doesn't change...only the choice of Shorts/Shirt worn with them. Semi-retired/Arizona...so shorts/casual shirt EVERYDAY!!!

The wallet is a USB thumbdrive "folder" customized to carry $$$,cards,smallknife(s),smallLEDlite/laser, Cellphone (emergency only...I don't answer it like an electronic leash..so stuck in the wallet is okay). Also have my keys attached. Since attaching my keys to my money...I have lost neither.

Works out to be about the same size as my OLD stuffed wallet...yet more organized. Looks like a "normal" sized wallet.
When closed it looks like a normal sportswallet...so nobody asks/wonders what's inside.

The PHONE is attached (inside) with velcro, so it stays in place at the checkout counter when getting Cards/Money out. It's a nice and flat phone.

The sweaty old blackhawk hat is as essential as the other stuff. (trail running shoes)
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy70/arizonaguide/pocketdump.jpg
Notice the speedloaders don't typically get carried, and do end up staying in the car most of the time (with the sunglasses, or the glasses are often found on my freakin hat). 5-shots to get back to the car...but it's usually closeby. Extra light. First aid/trauma kit, bugoutbag (with lotsa extra water)found THERE also. My Carpenter's toolbags (handyman work sometimes for the old folks around here) are in the trunk also.

I have to give Doug S credit though for having the cool mini-prybar in the setup. Very cool.

I really like useing it when I go to work, so the pistol can stay real close to me in the bag and still not be in sight.

For my load out I always carry,

A Surefire G2 tactical flashlight
A C.R.K.T. M-16 EDC folding knife
Billfold
Blackberry
Keys
One of my CCW which are-- Kahr CW9, CW45, Taurus snubbies 905 & 605, E German Makarov
At least one reload if not two!

This question seems to come up about 3 times a week. I'm sure the "SEARCH" function will bring up a thread or two... But some of us didn't post in those threads.

I carry a .45 XD with the 4" barrel. I've got the compact grip, but I decided that it's not any harder to conceal the full size 13-rd mag, so I'm carrying that now.
I don't carry a spare mag. Haven't convinced myself I need to.
I've got it in a Kholster half-moon, but I think I'm going to cut part of the top off so it looks more like a Supertuck... too much leather by the grip, slows down my draw.

CRKT mini Crawford-Kasper, well-worn mid-90s Surefire 6P, a Leatherman Juice, fully-charged cell phone and some miscellaneous junk in my pack. Even though I have the CPL I rarely carry, though I am considering a a few compact contenders to get myself back in the habit.

My "LOADOUT"? Too funny. If you're asking what I walk out the door when I leave; ummmm....

1. My keys. Purpose: They allow my car to operate, and allows entry back into my house.
2. Cell Phone. Purpose: That's how people communicate in the 21st century
3. Handgun (Rifle and shotgun don't conceal too well). Purpose: Obvious. Which pistol: Whichever one suits the occasion. Walther PPK 32 when I'm in a dress suit or tux. CZ-82 for normal day to day. Sig P220 in very cold weather where I'm bundled and a holster isn't practical.

That's it. No, I don't need more magazines, knives, pepper spray, flashlight, or anything else.

My "LOADOUT" LOL!!!

Mine is about 285. If I take my gun, then it's about 286. However, it all depends on whether or not I go number two before I leave the house.
