When is a good time to delete a picture?

I upload all the pictures I show on THR onto a private directory on my company's website; hey that's what they get for giving me the keys!

I figured why waste Oleg's bandwidth.

So I was going through the sites directories the other day and saw that I still had a bunch of pictures from really old threads and was about to delete them when I thought about how many people use the search function to go through the archives, so I left them there.

I guess my question is, when is it a good idea to delete photos related to old threads?

If the picture is necessary to the continuity of the thread, I'd leave it there. It's nice to have a picture there as a reference regardless of how old the thread is.

As an alternative, you could attach the file instead. That way it would only be downloaded (from THR's server) when a user specifically requests it. You can find out how to do this by clicking the FAQ button at the top of the page.

Hope this helps! :)
