Ive got an old 870 Express that I bought in '88 and has had roughly 60 bird put through it.

Yawn.

Its sat in the safe for years and lately I'm thinking of going tacticool with it. I know Academy has the hi-viz sights which I like but maybe optics would be better? I'm wanting an M4 stock 'n' foregrip, rails, and tube extender for the full length barrel which I plan to use for mostly slug at one hundred yards.

Who has the parts? Suggestions? Bulk slug deals on-line?

Thanks, Mike

if youre going to be shooting a lot of slugs, look into the scattergun tech ghost rings. theyre pricey, but very nice.

Here are my two 870's. The bottom one has a 5 round extension from Choate, a Knoxx NRS stock from BLACKHAWK!, and an over-molded forearm from Hogue. I've got an old Tasco Pro-point Red dot sight that's been sittin around for awhile, and I'm going to get a saddle mount to put it on there.

a good ghost ring sight or xs 24/7 sights would be a great addition to it. i would put a side saddle on there too maybe, amd an extended mag tube is good to have. but other than that i would keep it light and handy as possible.

i went through a time in my shotgunning days that i thought it needed every accesory avaliable, and it was big, cumbersome, and hard to hold and use. as far as stocks and forends i use the standard buttstock and forearm, i have tried different ones and they are the ones that work best for me.
