Does anyone know where I can find parts for the investarm hawken? I want to get a replacement ramrod since mine is all chewed up. Also I was thinking of buying another barrel.

I called Cabela's and they told me they don't carry extra parts for it.

Any ideas?

Lyman's GPR is virtually identical to the Investarms Hawken. Their ramrod and barrel should drop in.

Try their site http://www.investarm.com/eng-prodotti.html they may have a US supplier of parts.
Dixon's has supplied me with parts for my Lymans GPR which is also made by Investarms. Maybe they can help you. Good luck!http://www.dixonmuzzleloading.com/

You might also check out Green Mtn for an extra barrel. I picked up one on Ebay for my Thompson Hawkins and it was a real tac driver.

Thanks!

I wasn't aware that Investarm also made the Lyman rifles.

I have the "sporterized" hawken which looks almost identical to the Lyman Deerstalker. Hopefully they share the same parts.

Actually, it's the Lyman Trade Rifle that's basically the same as the Cabela's Hawken.

You can remove the ends from your ramrod and get a new dowel from lowes or home depot and make a new ramrod. Dixie carries the mountain state plastic ramrods also. These are very durable too.

My buddy bought a barrel from GM for his cabelas gun and the nipple is right on the edge of the hammer. He gets a lot of misfires with his. It may work fine on a T/C gun.

Investarms used to have a shotgun barrel for these rifles. I sure wish I could find one for sale.

Do not use a hardware store dowel for a ramrod. It will break along the grain and leave a very sharp, pointed end to cause a serious puncture wound.

There are several sutlers that can provide custom built ramrods or the materials to make one yourself in many different materials. An example would be October Country (http://www.octobercountry.com/products2.php?categoryid=377).

I have used dowels from the hardware store for years and never had one break yet. I do make sure the grain runs straight with the length also before buying.

It's only a matter of time.

I guess the 15 year trial is not enough. Maybe next century.:neener::neener::neener:
