The odds are it has been refinished at a later date.

If Nickle finished professionally, and the yellow grips are aged real ivory, the value could be enhanced.

If actually chrome plated, by Bubba's Bumper Shop, and some white plastic grips screwed on, the value has been greatly reduced.

There is no way to say what the condition is sight unseen though.
It may be shiny, but are all the markings and edges still sharp?

Or was it over-buffed by Bubba before he dropped it in the plating tank with some Harley mufflers?

I don't agree. Nice work & ivory grips notwithstanding, original is always better than refinished.

Well, can we agree to disagree?

If it was a rusty old beater, and someone had it nicely refinished in nickle, and added real ivory grips?

The grips alone are worth almost as much now as the whole gun was in beater condition.
If the nickle was done professionally, it would be worth more now then a beater blue gun too.

Added together, it would make the gun worth more now then an old rusty beater with what was left of the orginial blue.

I agree originial is better, if it's in good or VG condition.

But if it wasn't good or VG, it's worth more professionally refinished with ivory grips.
