best bang for buck leather holster company

February 18, 2010, 08:46 PM
Okay i know all the expensive leather holster companies that charge $150 and up. But what about mid-range price leather holster companies? Which has the best bang for the buck. Meaning top quality comparable to the big names (and don't say Galco or Don Hume).

You can post some links here as well.

They've got certain models covered labeled "Guide Gear" I think.

Best $20 I spent for a K frame leather holster.

FIST, Simply Rugged and Lobo Gunleather come to mind.

I've got a couple of IWB FIST #20s that work great. Just ordered a Lobo IWB for my 4" S&W Model 28 based on good feedback I got from other THR members. The FIST #20s cost around $80 shipped, while the Lobo IWB runs less than $60 shipped (depending on the options).

ElPaso Saddlery in ElPaso, Texas. Their holsters will last a lifetime or two if you take care of them.

LoneRider ('s a SASSy man, but I 'spect he does other styles on request.

I think it would have to be Don Hume.

Good stuff made of high quality leather for surprising prices.

Milt Sparks seems to be a good value though too since you can buy them and then resell them at no loss or even a profit.

I vote Don Hume & Galco 2nd only because they'er alittle more $$$.

Don Hume and High Noon.

Don't need to sell them. Check them out for yourself. I've spent over $500 in holsters looking for the best one for different guns. That all stopped once I found crossbreed. I wouldn't even consider another holster.

For about $100 and some patience, you can have a custom holster that's so comfortable, you can sleep in it and you Grandkid will thank you for a great heirloom. Milt Sparks of Idaho.

I've been impressed with "Masters" from Holsterama. They're reasonably inexpensive, good quality and the company gives good service. I usually get an order filled in a couple of days, but they're just down the road from me.

I've got several of them, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I have had great success with TT Gunleather. Quality and comfortable IWB and OWB holsters at good prices. The owner is friendly and helpful, with any questions.

Another vote for TT Gunleather. Fast service, for a custom maker, and a reasonable price for a quality product. I have one of his IWB for my K9.

I also have a OWB holster ordered from have not received it yet, but have read of many satisfied customers on another forum. Ryan's OWB holsters have the slide guard, and that's important to me.
