Here's what I would do, were I you:

I'd take the $129 that tumbler costs and buy TWO Hornady tumblers. The tumbler in your pic doesn't look like it has particularly large capacity. I don't know why you'd want a rock tumbler instead of a vibratory tumbler, but my Hornady works wonderfully; I wish I had two of them.

But I surely don't see any advantage the rock tumbler has over the Hornady (or any similar vibratory tumbler).

Why choose this instead of a standard vibratory tumbler?

What Walkalong says.

I started out with a rock tumbler simply because I had one from years ago. Noisy, takes forever, small capacity. In my case I got a Cabalas vibatory because they had a sale on them and I was at the store. Anyway get a vibatory tumbler along with 20/40 grit corn cob (will not plug your primer pockets or flash holes) and a teaspoon or two of liquid auto cleaner wax and never look back.

Yeah, years and years ago, I started with a Thumbler Tumbler (I think it was called). It was a rock tumbler that I bought at some hobby shop. Tumbling brass was an overnight affair. Get a vibratory tumber. I use a Dillon, but if I had it to do over again, I'd get the Lyman or Hornady. They aren't so pricey and work the same. Mine does 500 cases in two hours.

Get the least expensive viberatory you can find. There ain't nickle's worth of effective difference between any of them reqardless of price.

To a point, after my 3rd Harbor Freight tumbler went south because of bad bearings (bronze bushings) in 2 weeks I bought a Cabalas. Not bashing HF at all as I use alot of their stuff, but the tumbler was crap.

I've got a Thumblers Tumbler and don't use it anymore, way too slow. I purchased a Cabela's tumbler and couldn't be happier.
