I have been thinking about getting a coach gun, and saw these no-name ones (http://www.centerfiresystems.com/SGN-SBS12.aspx) over at Centerfire Systems. Does anybody have any information about what these guns are, where they come from, if they are worth the money?
Thanks in advance.

I have one made in China with the exposed hammers not sure of the model (Big 5 special). Rough around the edges and not the best finish but solid construction. No problems. Shoots to point of aim, about 250rds of various slugs, buckshot and bird.

The one in the ad is choked full/modified. That means it's set up for long range shooting, which isn't one of the strengths of a short coach gun since they don't swing well.
If you're going to hunt with it I'd look for IC/modified or better yet screw-in chokes. Short guns have some advantage in dense cover and that means shorter shots so more open chokes would be better.

I have that same one. What a brute! Solid gun, though.
