Im trying to find a conversion kit for my EAA Witness in .45 ACP, specifically one in 10mm, with a longslide setup...

The only place on the net Ive been able to find even a hint at one setup like this has been on http://savvysurvivor.com but I cant figure out if they even still sell what I want, or are even still up and running... everything has stayed the same since I went and looked at it years ago, and I didnt get an e-mail response at the address given.

Does anyone else know where to find a conversion kit that fits this description for a reasonable price?

If I cant find this, I may end up just going with the standerd length one.... because EAA doesnt seem to sell the 10mm conversions with a longslide. :banghead:

From what Ive seen, they just do barrels, and what they do have listed are just replacement barrels...most of the tanfoglio ones are listed as closeouts to.
Im looking for what amounts to the whole top end setup (slide, barrel, guide rod, spring, mag) that EAA sells already, just with a longslide/barrel set instead of the standard length

Download their catalog list from EAA -- I think the LS are in it.

PS --- I know it is not listed on their main page under "conversion/barrels".

Alex at SavvySurvivor is no longer doing any sales of gun components. If you email him with questions, you may get lucky and get a reply. He is a great resource for Witness Info.

Here is a link to the EAA Conversion list. Sadly, I do not see one listed as a 10mm long slide. You may want to give EAA a call or send them an email. Be sure to include your gun serial # so they can confirm your exact model and what may fit.

You can also get in touch with Reeds Ammo. They sell EAA conversions and may be able to give you some guidance.

Good Luck! I have a Witness 10mm FS and love it. Though ammo is scarce. I really do need to start reloading!

Well, thanks for the info.... I was afraid that site was dead, my real worry now is EAA's "legendary" customer service :uhoh:

The 10mm EAA Witness magazines can be problematic.

I bought a NIB Witness 10mm about a year ago and the mag that came with it would bind up and not feed at all with more than about 8 rounds in it. I then purchased three more factory mags and they were all the same. They also came with a clever little note from EAA that basically said, "if these mags don't work in your gun, tough sh*t. That's your problem"

The problem was that the mag bodies were too wide internally....not something you can really fix.

So then I sent the gun and all the mags back to EAA and told them to replace the four bad 10mm magazines with four good ones, or just convert the gun to 38 Super and send me 4 Super mags.

Well......I guess EAA doesn't have any 10mm mags that work either, since they swapped the gun to 38 Super and sent it back with 4 new high cap mags.
