S&W 22a mag pops out

My brand new sw 22a is dropping the mag down about 1/8 inch every 6 or 7 shots. It does it with both factory supplied mags. I don't want to send it in and wait 2-4 weeks to get it back. How can I fix it?

As I said on KTOG two days ago when you ask the same question:
Call S&W and get a shipping tag.
A brand new gun is supposed to work, and if it doesn't work, S&W needs to know about it.
Do all future customers a favor and make them fix it on their dime!
Maybe they will learn something? Maybe not?
But fiddling with it yourself is not the way to go on a brand new gun.

Wow rcmodel. you get around as much as i do. I solved my problem. I just got home with my new Browning Buckmark. I put almost 400 rounds through it with NO problems. I'm going to sell the SW. You want to buy it. I'll make it sweet. Its practitly brand new.

Heck, sounds like the magazine catch engagement surface might just need a lick or two with a file, especially since it's doing it with both mags.
I'd rather have my gun than try to teach S&W a lesson.

I had a problem after about 2K rounds with my 22A. S & W sent me a shipping label the day after I called them, and I had it back, fixed in a week. For free.
It might not take as long as you think.

Glad you got your buckmark. Now do us all a favor and call S&W for a shipping tag and get that fixed before you pawn it off on some unsuspecting novice who will get a bad feeling about guns because of it.
Besides, once you get it fixed it will be worth more, and who knows, maybe you will want to keep it?
