I remember them going for about $400 a year ago and now I see them for $250 and up. What is the deal? Why did the price drop so much on these?
I am buying one sight unseen for $150 from a friend of a friend and I thought I was getting a steal but after looking on the online auctions, it doesn't seem like such a great deal anymore.
What is the lowest you have seen them go for in decent shape?

I've seen them in the $150 range on auction sites, but they usually go up to $250+.
Even so, $400 is still a good deal for a NIB Mak-90.

Yeah, typically you see them for @$400 in gun stores. I'm unsure of this price drop you speak of, Romanian SARs are far inferior in quality and they still command @$290 new. If you're getting one for $150, buy it NOW. As long as it still functions, that's a good deal. What auction sites have you been looking at that made you think it wasn't such a deal after all? I need a new AK...

The guy I was going to buy the Mak-90 from for $150 sold it to someone else!:fire: :cuss: :cuss: :fire:
I hate that! I was buying it from a friend of a friend so I got hosed! I had already given the money to my friend to give to the other guy and he knew I was going to buy it but he sold it for $200 to someone else. I would have given him $200 if he had given me the chance.
Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win.
