Help a technical idiot with pics

I've read the thread about posting pics and I'm so technologically ignorant, I still don't quiet get it. I've posted a few pics as thumbnails but how do you post the picture in the post, where you don't have to click on it. (I know that probably sounds stupid, but it's the only way I know to say it)

Also, if I've already posted a picture in one thread, can I post it in another without uploading it again? Can I just go to the manage attachments and pull it up again?

Please be patient with me and help me out. Thanks.

I personally advise folks NOT to use the forum's image management feature.

You'll get more mileage from a photobucket, imageshack.us or similar service, as you can host the image once on those services, and then post it anywhere (where it'll be big w/o having to be clicked).

You'd then use the IMG tags like so:

http://www.novarata.net/abrams/old-new/old-new_392.JPG

Which would get you this:

http://www.novarata.net/abrams/old-new/old-new_392.JPG

I upload pics to photobucket, copy the image address, then insert pic (picture icon in vBulletin) above, and it works fine
