Just wondering there's a lot of talk but what would be the most accurate $1000 rifle if the same mount scope and ammo where used. This should be an interesting debate

Actually, I suspect you will simply get a considerable amount of opinion with little scientific substance to affirm or refute anyone's position. In light of that, my vote goes to the Red Rider, with a custom-made Ken Ferrill G-Force picatinny 100 MOA base, Ken Ferrill 30 mm rings, and a Nightforce 12-42X56 benchrest scope. I assure you, there will be no other rifle like it on the bench. Well, let's enjoy the debate. :D

Other than the well respected tack driving Red Rider (just too much recoil for my taste)...the Savage 12 series with a new stock (B&C, HSP, et al) would get my vote. Great shooting rifle...good value...kinda really ugly. Ugly gets the job done. :D
