Would a GP 100 in 327 w/ porting give the least recoil for a 32 including acp's? Does anyone know a lighter recoiling 32 revolver or semi auto gun?

I have never fired a .327 mag but I can tell you that a .32ACP is pretty hard to beat in terms of low recoil.

I don't believe the Ruger GP100 in .327 mag will shoot .32ACP. May only shoot .327 mag, .32 H&R, .32 S&W, and .32 S&W Long. Better check further on that.

But I'm pretty sure shooting a .32 S&W in a GP100 will be about as low recoil as you can get.

Edit: Changing my opinion. It should shoot the 32ACP as it is semi-rimless but you may have extraction issues.

GP's are a bit on the heavy side to begin with so with or without porting, recoil should not be very bad. it probably would be very soft shooting in regards to other guns that shoot the same or similar calibers. JUST A GUESS.

i have a GP in .357 and .38's and .357's are not percieved by me to have much recoil at all in it. probably holds true with yours. YMMV

I would think that the recoil would also be less than a CZ 83 in 32 acp.

Agree with rrruuunnn, might be better off with good grips than porting.

I have an sp101 in 327, and it's just a little more peppy than my sr9. Not bad at all. I would think with the extra weight of the gp100 it would be no problem

I have nothing technical to add but I can say that from what I've read, one of the main selling points of the .327 is the .357ish performance with .38ish recoil. I'd like to try one out. It kinda seems like a small block vs. big block argument where the smaller lighter engine (cartridge) can give you similar performance without all the extra weight and fuel (recoil). Maybe a dumb analogy but it's all I have. I'm here all week.

I've also got the sp101 in 327 and I would think the recoil would almost be pleasant from the GP100. The 327 from my sp101 is MUCH harder than a 357 from my S&W 686.
