I'm trying to help somebody find out how old their pardner is. He says it was made before NEF and H&R merged, since it says NEF on the reciever, whereas the newer ones say H&R. Any chance there's a website to lookup serial numbers on these guns, like their are on marlins, winchesters, garands, etc.? Sorry if I got any facts wrong, I'm just going off what he told me. I'd appreciate any help you could give.
