It's modern urban slang for anything that is shiny. Often used in reference to exceptionally tacky jewelery and such.

yes mike, it must be blindingly flashy.
I had the front sight cut up the other day and a fiberoptic put in. I probably should have thought it through and made it less practical, and cut out a spot and put a diamond in there for a front sight, oh wait, that's too expensive, maybe just a cubic zirconia. That would be funny.
I think i'd like that.

As a note, most stuff people call "bling-bling" is polished stainless or nickel, not chrome. Hard chrome can be mirror-polished for extra flash, but that's pretty rare. For instance, I don't think my HC gun qualifies for "bling-bling" status.

November 30, 2003, 06:48 PM
They get your social finger out from behind the trigger guard, so it doesn't get rapped on the knuckle by hard-recoiling revolvers.
So there is a difference between bling-bling and a BBQ gun, right? For example, when I send this old girl back to be gold Titanium Nitrided, it will be bling-bling:
http://mauser98.com/deserteagle.jpg
This, however, would make a good BBQ gun, once I find a nice El Paso Saddlery/Tom Threepersons holster for it:

Hey Balog,
I agree, I like the way the Tyler T-Grip adapter looks too but the way it feels is even better. I have a medium sized hand and I find the magna grip alone is too small for me and S&W's target grips are too big and blocky.
The combination of the magnas and Tyler adapter just feel right to me.
I use this combination on many of my S&W revolvers.
Besides I think it bling blings or BBQ's pretty good on a nickel revo:)

I don't know what the hell "Bling-Bling" is (I guess I am officially old...), but I think this qualifies....

It is a WWII Remington-Rand 1911A1. When I got it, it had Pachmyer rubber grips and a butt-ugly long aluminum trigger. I cleaned it up and installed a GI trigger I had in my junk box. It needs some mechanical work, but I got a good enough deal that I can afford to tweak it a bit.
I don't know who did the engraving, but it is pretty good. Not in the league of John Adams,Sr mind you, but pretty good.

ROTFLMAO. Thanks, bigjim. I don't really own this 210, just havin' some fun with y'all. I picked up this photo somewhere along the way while I was researching some gun or other.
I must say, however, that this particular photo is my favorite handgun photo of all time. One can only wonder for whom this pistol was made.

Oh skrit, this thread still lives?
Here is an older picture of me. It was taken with one of the first model digital cameras so its a little grainy, sorry.

Note the homeboy nitesites, gold plating, ivory grips and matching ostrich feathers on my hat and right grip.
