Late '80's Benelli semi-auto?

Guys, back in the latter part of the '80's I bought a Benelli shotgun for 3 gun matches. It was the newly introduced inertia operated system and at the time was touted as the fastest cycling auto around. It had wood furniture, and a rifle sighted barrel of about 18 or 20", can't recall. Even with Pro-porting the thing kicked like a rented mule due to it's light weight and recoil system, so I switched to a modded 1100.
My question, does anybody recall the model of this thing? I can't for the life of me remember what it was, but it preceded the Super 90 series. I wish I still had it.....thanks for any info!
Dan

I'm thinking it might be the SL-80 series 121 riot gun. IIRC, it was discontinued around 1985.

Matte blue metalwork and satin finished wood. I can't remember if it had swivels or studs.......I think I remember it being an HK import.
Unless I'm crazy, I seem to remember this shotgun having a vertical pivoting locking bolt, inertia unlocking. The next generation Super 90's have a rotating bolt head ala AR-15 don't they?

DaleCooper, I think you have it! I searched your reply and it indeed looks like the Benelli 121 M1 Military and police model, thanks for the help....:D Tilting bolt lockup rather than the rotating bolt head.
