A twist on a past topic. What movies are there that show off the wepons of the American Revolution? Besides the Patriot, of course. Anything else available on video?

Not Revolutionary, but in the French and Indian war period (just a little bit earlier) Last of the Mohicans is pretty good.

Well, obviously, there's "The Patriot."

John Paul Jones (1959), very good movie

Revolution (1985) with Al Pacino

George Washington (1984). A miniseries, IIRC, with Barry Bostwick

1776 (a musical, and one of my favorites). Doesn't really show the weaponry, but it's a fun flick about the workings of the Continential Congress.

Frank House made the gun carried by wotshisface in Last of the Mohicans & by the Mel Gibson character in Patriot.

BTW, the black powder crowd at the Muzzleloader Hide seem to be going ape over that Commander & whatnot flick (sorry folks, haven't been to the cinema at all this year).

There's suppose to be a new (PC) Alamo movie coming out that has a lot of good guns & horns in it. I know some guys who made some of the guns (OK, they made only 1 dozen).

Northwest Passage..French and Indian War. Story about Rogers Rangers...weapons weren't that good. Late 50s early 60s I think.

so there is NO chance that for once what the evidence and what the Mexicans (the only one's who can legitimately say what happened to "those that fought to teh end") say happened at the Alamo??

we're gonna get a slightly modified version of the same propaganda story the Daughters of the texas revolution have been spouting since the days of the republic.....

well heck i hoping for a GOOD film not a rehash of the BS
