What is the profile of the Glock accessory rail? I can't sort out the different standards out there. Glock, Springfield XD, and the CZ P-01 all seem to have the same rail system that mount the same lights, lasers, etc. However, Smith & Wesson has a different standard? What about the Beretta rails or 1911 rails? Is there really a standard here?

If I buy a weapon light for the Glock, will it mount on the Weaver rail on top of my shotgun?

It appears from your comments that you have done some amount of research.

The Glock's are compatible with the Insight series models M3/M6 (often sold under the Streamlight name).

As to your Weaver rail, as long is it's the 1913 Mil-std, I think you are okay...I'd suggest you contact Insight with the spec's on your Weaver Rail for verification. I've sent questions to them in the past and they've been pretty good about getting back to me...although sometimes it does take a few days.

Good luck,
