 Went to Alpine to day. Had a couple of guys that shot a "triple" at station 8. Wow. Pretty cool. They faced the high house, while a double was thrown, they shot the high house first, then the low house and then the high house again. Since they were shooting autos and pumps, I had to opt to shoot it the regular way because I was shooting the new Cynergy. I may take my A-390 along next time just so I can shoot a triple on station 8!

Anybody else done this??

Its pretty customary to shoot 3 targets from 8 for a perfect round but never heard of a triple.

Stations I and 2: High house single: Low house single; High house/Low house pair
Stations 3, 4 and 5: High house single; Low house single.
Stations 6 and 7: High house single; Low house single; Low house/High house pair.
Station 8: High house single; Low house single.

The 25th shot, completing the round, is taken immediately after the first miss or with 24 consecutive targets broken as a second single target at low house 8.

NSSA rules and most all club safety rules would prohibit more than 2 shells in the gun at a time.

you can do it with a 0/u easy. just hit the pair; break/eject as you turn towards low-house (turn facing downrange) and reload/mount/ hit the high bird as it is coasting down.

isnt hard at all.

We've thrown doubles at low 8 for fun, but no one where I shoot uses anything but an O/U
