Recently let off a rant, bad call. Can't spell too well, got flamed. Appearantly common courtesy aint so common here. That's fine. Would appologize to the moderator but it seems he/she likes the bs and that's fine too. I used to like this forum but its turned into a bunch a oppinionated hateful crap that shouldn't be aloud to go on. 90% of the threads have at least one of these *******s. Mine seemed to gather the flock.

What would you like to get out of this thread TS? Do you want us to say "don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya"...so you can say see I knew you were a bunch of jerks? Or would you like us to beg to have you back and re-hash an old thread where things went bad for you apparently?

Just like the real world there are good folks and bad on this forum. And like the real world the good vastly outnumber the bad, it is just the bad tend to be louder so they seem greater in number than they are. Lots of good stuff here, just ignore the loudmouths. Mods are fair, they have a tough job to do to balance this rowdy bunch.

Just because some members turned a simple keystroke error on your part into an opportunity to joke around doesn't mean they were necessarily making fun of you personally. If any posts turn into a personal attack they need to be reported. Keep in mind we have a lot of people on THR. There are 300 members signed in right now and another 1500 "guests" viewing. We have dozens of new members sign up every week. Not everyone is interested in supporting the mission here of provided a civil forum for gun enthusiasts and not everyone has a good feel for what that means.

I think it is worthwhile to ask what you want out of this thread you've started? What specific outcome would you like to see?

Shortdog22, don't let such things get to you. On the internetwebz, there will always be the cowardly snipes that act in ways that they wouldn't otherwise in a personal face-to-face way. I find it's best not to wear my emotions on my sleeve when on the internet forums but instead simply try to have answered the question I'm asking and be done with it (or to answer other questions if I have the smarts).

...

Just need to grow a little more thick skin and make a few simple changes IF, when, your computer shows any word/s underlined in red, meaning they're misspelled, and right-clk on the word with the red line under it, up pops a box, a/o some PC programs just automatically put in the correct spelled word, but for most PC spell chk programs, all you have to do is, after right clking on it, (the misspelled word) pick the right spelling and then left clk on it (or choose the best choice if ya don't know..)

And, not having seen/read any of your post, try and break it up rather than making it a thick/long block of running words, kinda like this little post..

Luck,

Ls

Absolutely. I am guilty of this occasionally myself. (Not in this particular case.)

Note the multiple "keystroke errors" in the OP. I think we're being baited. ;)

I have learned that THR is for the discussions of guns and gun related topics and that there is enough of a "good ol' boy" network here that if you feel wrong or slighted, suck it up because you are wrong. Just ask, they will tell you.

I have also learned that there are more whackers/mall ninja's here then a 5.11 outlet store.
All of that said if you need a gunsmithing or equipment question answered... This is hands down the best website on the Internet

I wish I had the luxury of having enough time to spend trolling internet forums.

Let me guess.....

Everywhere you go, someone has a problem with you.

This would be my assumption of the situation as well.

Starting threads like this one sure isn't going to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about you. :banghead:

ShortDog22,
What you will notice is that this guy has a computer and guns and most likely has the internet. So it is easy to imagine that this guy has hit up a gun forum or too in his day. Would you get mad if this guy made fun of you? I sure as heck wouldn't.

So you shouldn't be mad now. If you want to leave, than just go. If you want to stay just imagine it is this guy making the disparaging comments.

I think this one is done. (And Erik is right, some images are best not being made public here.)
