Americans plagued by hypocrisy
RAFAEL CHAVEZ
November 19, 2003
Americans are hypocrites. Americans are right about everything and George Washington is supposedly my forefather.
Democracy really means hypocrisy. American hypocrisy is a mental disorder that leaves its victims with tunnel vision. .
“Save a tree,” is a common phrase, yet most Americans live in wooden houses, have wooden furniture, use paper products and have no inclination to avoid using these things.
We belly ache about the deterioration of the forests but many of us are still wiping our asses. If there were an actual concern, there would be a moratorium on logging and the use of wood products would cease.
“English only,” is the rally cry of backwater conservatives. Yes Pancho, you must speak English because you’re in America now. Last time I checked, in Mexico and most nations in the Americas, the official language is Spanish.
You have to be an idiot to try to impose a language on people. As the Spanish-speaking population increases in the U.S., it is economically and intellectually beneficial to speak the language of the masses.
“La tierra es de quien la trabaja, (The land belongs to those who work it)” said General Emiliano Zapata.
“Keep Tahoe Blue,” is a popular bumper sticker attached to SUVs. These polluting beasts spend weekends on excursions to the lake. If their owners actually intended to keep it blue they would avoid travel there all together.
How about : “Keep Illegal Immigrants Out.” Well my friends this hypocrisy is racist and illogical. Many who cheered the fall of the Berlin Wall now clamor to keep the same wall set up and secure on our own Mexico-U.S. border.
Avoid eating you hypocritical fools, the food that sits on your table is put there by the brown hand of an illegal immigrant.
If all the immigrant workers were forced out or, better yet, decided to stop working the fields, the factories, the restaurants and distribution centers, none of us would eat and the nation would fall to its knees. Maybe we should take care of the hand that feeds us.
What ever happened to Christians loving one another? Or can Christians pick and choose who they love?
President Bush called the war against terrorism a crusade. Bush, during his campaign, stated that his favorite philosopher was Jesus Christ. His recent actions appear more like Hitler’s doctrine.
We want no one to attack the U.S. and yet many agree that it is okay to attack other countries to enforce freedom. Afghanistan and Iraq were destroyed to please oil, construction industries and the entire U.S. war machine. Up until now, no one has proven the countries posed an actual threat to our world.
If the U.S. were a true Christian nation as some claim, then it and we would love one another. Jesus even told us to love our enemies.
This White House only follows the ideology of vini vidi vicci (I came, I saw, I conquered).
Bush and his Christian buddies ought to burn a cross on the White House lawn to celebrate Thanksgiving. We might be thankful for other things, but we really are celebrating destruction. Some of our ancestors massacred this continent’s indigenous peoples and in present day the current administration is destroying the world.
Hypocrisy is a mental disorder that is not only transmitted with in person contact but also by just hearing about it. I have a friend who contracted it by watching TV. He always says, “I heard on the news.”
To avoid catching the infection and maybe cure it if already infected you should.
1. Simply avoid believing everything that the mass media presents to you.
2. Question any authority.
3. Be logical and fair-minded when thinking about others or issues at hand.
4. Always wonder, “what if this were happening to me?”
5. Never assume others should agree with you. Everyone has a different perspective.
Hypocrisy can be cured. Please exercise your true freedom and think for yourself, not what others tell you.
Are we really hypocrites or should Rafael take things less literally?

Looks to me like the typical student political drivel. He feels VERY strongly about something, but he doesn't know what it is or why. My school paper is full of the same type of crap. I like to edit the articles for spelling and grammar (we had a spelling error in a HEADLINE last semester) and then email the corrections to the authors. They stop writing for the paper REAL quick when you do that.

Ahhhhh........School propoganda sheets uhmmmmm Newspapers.
I remember my High School "Journalism" class....Second day of class, Principal comes in, gives the 15-minute shill about how the paper is to reflect school pride & spirit, highlight the best of the school, etc etc etc
So then the class Wise N. Hiemer [me] says "...so what you are saying Mr. (name withheld to protect the guilty!) is that the paper here performs the same functions as Pravda does for the Kremlin..."
:what:
I have never seen anyone's face turn that purple that fast.

MY reply, which I posted to the site and emailed to them.
Rafael, it is so hilarious that you accuse America of hypocrisy. Your rant very clearly demonstrates your boundless hatred for America and its white inhabitants. You who hate America forget that one of the many rights all Americans have is the right to leave and never come back. I do wish you would exercise that right. Now, on to your rantings…
< Americans are hypocrites. Americans are right about everything and George Washington is supposedly my forefather. >
Yes, Americans are right about most all world issues, and trust me, Rafael, George Washington is most certainly NOT your forefather.
< “Save a tree,” is a common phrase, yet most Americans live in wooden houses, have wooden furniture, use paper products and have no inclination to avoid using these things. >
Actually Rafael, the radical environmentalists that spout such lines are just that; a tiny, radical minority whom most all Americans just laugh at. They’re the hypocrites, not the rest of us. I don’t see any of these tree-huggers living in adobe huts.
< We belly ache about the deterioration of the forests but many of us are still wiping our asses. If there were an actual concern, there would be a moratorium on logging and the use of wood products would cease. >
What color is the sky in your world, Rafael? What the heck would we use to replace paper then? You liberals are all the same; all talk and stupid ideas with not a hint of common sense or reality to back it up. Humans have a right, just like any other animal, to live and to use the resources of the earth. I agree that we must take reasonable measures to protect the earth and environment, but to demand that we should immediately halt the use of all wood products is plain ignorant and impossible.
< “English only,” is the rally cry of backwater conservatives. Yes Pancho, you must speak English because you’re in America now. Last time I checked, in Mexico and most nations in the Americas, the official language is Spanish. > Last I checked, “pancho,” this is America, not South America, and definitely not mexico, and we want you to speak English here. If you have a problem with that, you are free to leave. I don’t see the Germans forcing the French to speak German just because they are geographically close to each other.
< You have to be an idiot to try to impose a language on people. As the Spanish-speaking population increases in the U.S., it is economically and intellectually beneficial to speak the language of the masses. > Agreed. The Spanish-speaking minority should indeed speak the language of the masses. And all the tens of millions of immigrants who came to America (my family included) seemed to get along just fine being forced to learn English in order to get jobs and integrate into society.
< How about : “Keep Illegal Immigrants Out.” Well my friends this hypocrisy is racist and illogical. Many who cheered the fall of the Berlin Wall now clamor to keep the same wall set up and secure on our own Mexico-U.S. border. >
I know you do not want to admit it and will not, but illegal immigrants are CRIMINALS. They are breaking the law by their very presence in America. Criminals need to be punished, and in this case, deported. It is that simple. Tell me, Rafael, why do you think these immigrants in particular have the right to waltz into America whenever they want while there are millions of other people who have gone through the time, trouble, and expense to become LEGAL citizens of America?
< Avoid eating you hypocritical fools, the food that sits on your table is put there by the brown hand of an illegal immigrant. >
You are a racist. And if we did as we should and deported all illegals, there would be plenty of Americans willing to take those jobs, and most all of them would be more than willing to pay the extra money in order to rid ourselves of criminal immigrants.
< If all the immigrant workers were forced out or, better yet, decided to stop working the fields, the factories, the restaurants and distribution centers, none of us would eat and the nation would fall to its knees. Maybe we should take care of the hand that feeds us. > See above. Americans would take those jobs, and life would continue as normal.
< President Bush called the war against terrorism a crusade. Bush, during his campaign, stated that his favorite philosopher was Jesus Christ. His recent actions appear more like Hitler’s doctrine. >
No, Saddam Hussein, who slaughtered millions of his own people is similar to Hitler. That you would dare equate ANY American President with Hitler just shows your complete ignorance of anything resembling reality, as well as your virulent hatred for America.
< We want no one to attack the U.S. and yet many agree that it is okay to attack other countries to enforce freedom. Afghanistan and Iraq were destroyed to please oil, construction industries and the entire U.S. war machine. Up until now, no one has proven the countries posed an actual threat to our world. >
How do you deal with violent criminals in your world Rafael? I suppose you try to talk to them, make them feel good about themselves, give them some welfare money stolen from other people, tell them they are a victim of society, that it isn’t really their fault, and try to reason with them?
Violent criminals recognize and fear nothing other than violence itself. Violence is sometimes necessary to keep peace. To deny this fact is stupid and shows a complete ignorance of history.
< This White House only follows the ideology of vini vidi vicci (I came, I saw, I conquered). >
Rafael, if we *really* wanted to conquer any country or even most of the world, we could have done it by now. And if we wanted to start conquering countries, Iraq would be among the last on the list. And it is spelled, “Veni, Vidi, Vici.”
< Bush and his Christian buddies ought to burn a cross on the White House lawn to celebrate Thanksgiving. We might be thankful for other things, but we really are celebrating destruction. Some of our ancestors massacred this continent’s indigenous peoples and in present day the current administration is destroying the world. >
Rafael, force and violence is human nature. There is not a single piece of land that has not been taken by force at some point in history. The Indians who were here before the Europeans arrived fought wars amongst themselves, stole each other’s land, and owned each other as slaves. Europeans are most definitely not the first nor only people to take land by force, and they were not the last. Europeans (actually, Americans) WERE, however, the first civilization in history to have a movement to abolish slavery. The Aztecs practiced cannibalism, yet I don’t see you denouncing them.
< Hypocrisy is a mental disorder that is not only transmitted with in person contact but also by just hearing about it. > Indeed. You are suffering from an incredibly advanced and crippling case of hypocrisy yourself.
< To avoid catching the infection and maybe cure it if already infected you should.
1. Simply avoid believing everything that the mass media presents to you. > Funny you should use a form of the mass media to tell people not to believe it. Therefore, we definitely should not believe your rantings.
< 3. Be logical and fair-minded when thinking about others or issues at hand. > Take your own advice.
< 5. Never assume others should agree with you. Everyone has a different perspective. > Yes, everyone has a different perspective on certain things, but there is right and wrong. Some things are right, some are wrong. Some people are right, some are wrong. Some ideas are bad and wrong, some ideas are good and right.

Sounds like a twelve year old's writing style.
I'd tend to either ignore the bum or borrow some money from him, then when he asks me to pay up borrow a few more bucks. If he's as dumb as he sounds I'd probably be able to cadge a lot from him, telling him I need a little more but will pay him off later.
Then when he finally caught on I'd ask him to buy me a hamburger then sit there and quote Mao and Marx to him and tell him he's an American hypocrite. I'd come on as an utterly sincere Marxist until he was totally sick of me and Marxism too. Reductio ad absurdum...
:neener:
Edited to say I'd really probably just ignore him. I'm not very good at pretending to be a Marxist. He'd have to have an IQ less than about 90 for me to pull that one off. Which gives me an idea! More later

I think Saddam's victims certainly number in the hundreds of thousands, though we can never be sure. The Iranians are guilty of plenty too, given their penchant for using human wave attacks and ill trained teenagers as cannon fodder in their wars in the 80's with raq.

The whole letter totally REEKS or the doctrine of MECHa / Aztlan / La Rasa - The hispanic movement seeking to reclaim the southwest from the United States. Their literature uses some of the same protest techniques as the communit-backed anti-war demonstrators of Intl ANSWER, NION, and those stupid children of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM).
One of the reasons LtGov Cruz Bustamante lost his Gov bi in the recent Recall election is because he refused to rnounce his own ties and past activities with this group.
MECHa / Aztlan / La Rasa is infamous for their slogan - 'For the Race everything, for the rest nothing'. They are fairly active on many CA campuses, and have branches across the country.
They are a CANCER.

Between the estimated 1 million who died in the Iran-Iraq war and those liquidated within the Iraqi population, Saddam is culpable for at least a million deaths. Also, I forgot those killed in the 2 Gulf Wars and the continuing deaths of US personnel and Iraqi civilians killed in terrorist attacks that probably link back to Saddam.

Last time I checked, in Mexico and most nations in the Americas, the official language is Spanish.
You have to be an idiot to try to impose a language on people.
So most South American nations are idiots?
Mr. Chavez is incapable of making the distinction between "some people think" and "all Americans think". Until he gets his mind wrapped around the concept that not everyone says and does the same things, he's going to live a very miserable life. Because "everyone" hates him.

I guess he's an idiot, and what an idiot!
Last time I checked, in Mexico and most nations in the Americas, the official language is Spanish.
You have to be an idiot to try to impose a language on people.
And why is that? Could it be becasue the 'majority' there are of Spanish descent (except for the Indians, of course, who I'm sure voluntarily gave up their native tongue to speak Espanol, yes? Then there's the little point of an 'official' language, which sounds a whole lot like an 'inflicted' one to me. Never mind that we don't have an official language in the U.S.
The reason we speak English here is that it is what the MAJORITY of our citizens speak. If you want to get a good job, particpate fully in the economy, and have a good life (you know, the American Dream), it behooves one to learn the language, just like I would need to learn Spanish if I wanted to flourish in one of those countries in south/central America. BTW, is there such a thing as the "Mexican Dream"? I guess not, since so many seem to be coming here to have one of ours :neener:
Hispanics are only 14% of the population here. They knew this was an English-speaking country before they came here, it is up to 'them' to figure out how to fit in, it absolutely, positively not up to 'us' to accommodate them. What you do in your own home, is of course, your own business, but if you wish to live in a Spanish culture and speak Spanish, stay home, orr go back there (where ever). America is the melting pot, everyone is welcome, but we do expect you to assimilate. We will probably like your food and music, and pick up some of what makes your culture neat and your peoples' character strong and blend it into that spicy gumbo that is 'America', ever changing, ever growing. Don't worry about where you're from, look to where you're going. But if you aren't interested in becoming 'American', we don't need you.:fire:

1. You aren't too up-to-date on how surnames are passed, are you? His mother might be able to trace her ancestry directly to George Washington. I doubt it, but just looking at the last name doesn't tell you much.
2. My last name is of Nordic descent. I know for a fact that I don't have any ancestors related to George Washington. Is he my forefather, in the sense that he is the forefather of my chosen nation? For that matter, can you trace your ancestry to George Washington? If not, is he your forefather?
