Anyone have any problems with a G20 and thier reloads? I have read that if you plan to use reloads in a glock 10mm you need to replace the barrel. I was planning on using AA#9 with 180-200g bullets.

The barrel is only an issue if you plan on using lead bullets.
Glock barrels are not compatable with lead bullets.
If you want to use lead, then you need an aftermarket barrel with traditional land and groove rifling, as opposed to Glocks polygonal rifling.
If you are using jacketed bullets, then you will be fine with the factory barrel.

I shoot reloads almost exclusively from my g29, no problems at all. They are no different than any other Glock. I do shoot jacketed bullets though. I know some people that shoot lead and have no problems. They make sure to keep the barrel clean. But as DeltaElite said many buy after market barrels.

Put the KKM barrel and a 22# spring on my G20. Tighter chamber, but probably only an issue if you push the limits. Heavier spring so brass stays closer. Stock G29, no problems. I think the changes are a good idea, though.

Where do you get your heavier springs. I thought I had seen them in thier catalog but I cannot find it on the Midway website. Would 24 lbs. be too much?

Deltaelite:
I will use copper jacketed bullets.

Thanks for your help :D

I got barrel, springs, whatever at Glockmeister. 24# should be fine, especially with stout loads of AA#9. Fresh Starline brass is nice for top loads.

Wolff 24# recoil spring
Wolff steel guide rod
MMC adjustable black rear target sights
MMC tritium front for CCW, deer, and hog
3.5 pound Scherer trigger connector
Factory striker spring minus 4 coils for smoother light trigger pull
KKM 6" 10mm barrel
Federal Arms 40SW and 357 sig conversion barrels
Wolff recoil springs from 15# to 24#.

Brownell's should sell the srpings or buy direct from www.gunsprings.com

Have some 175 grain D&J hard LSWCs for some 25/50 yard target practice too. The G20 is any awesome platform.

I'm tinkering with 5.2 grains of Universal and a 180 grain Montana Gold FMJ and the loads recoil like light loaded 9mm ammo but 2-4 inch groups at 25 yards offhand. Awesome targets! You can shoot light or heavy with that G20 - remember that.

But I've had no problems with FTF, FTE, stovepipes, or feed ramp hangups.

Have you fluffed, buffed, and mirror-polished your feed ramp? It does help! SOP for me when I get a new gun.

I use a 180 grain FP jacketed bullet with 6.5 grains of Unique in my G20. Recoil is softer than my Kimber Custom II using a 200 grain cast SWC also with 6.5 grains of Unique. My G20 is "stock as a stove" because it works that way.

The Glock 20 chamber is looser than other manufacturers chambers. Loading full power loads, I had severe case bulging problems.

I replaced the barrel. No problems now. If you reload for the factory barrel, stick to light target loads.
