Ok boys and girls. The good luck fairy hit me with some unexpected cash. So time to go toy shopping. I already have quite a sizeable collection. I am into military style guns, so I have AR's, Ak's, Garand, FAL, M1A, etc..

I'm looking for something interesting to get. Budget is $3,500..

What have you got for ideas?

30 carbine

Already have one of those.

M24

I have a Remington 700 Police all set-up for long range work. HS precision Stock, Leupold Mark 4 scope

Reloading equipment and components. Lots and lots of components

Reloading has never interested me. Not something I would keep up on.

45 cal M3 submachine gun (grease gun), and 3000 rounds.

Where are any full-auto grease guns for the price? I am considering a Mac 10. I can find them for $3,500-3,800.

Keep the ideas coming. Not sure if I want one big thing or several smaller priced items.

For $3500, you might be able to buy an actual SR-25...

I isn't exactly in line with the military theme, but I'd get a super nice 1911 and still have some left over.

well, even better then ! for this price in Switzerland, i'd barely get a M4 clone...

A MAC-10 and matching suppressor would be a worthy buy. Cheapest way into FA and insanely fun.

If wanting something more of a military rifle, how about an HK 91 or 93?

I'm thinking about one of these.

http://www.msarinc.com/stg556_sporting.html

One of those and another 1911.. Could be interesting.

A .308 AR sounds interesting also. The Sr-25 is out of my price range though.

Do you have a shotgun yet?

At last count 12 of them....

how about an HK 91 or 93?

Already have a HK93. Also have a G3 clone also.

Since I'm also into 1911's the possibility of a Wilson Combat or an Ed Brown is also there.

Decisions, Decisions...

or go this route, and have a little left over for optics:

AR-10 super-SASS (http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=10SBF&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=f4bd4a13-55d1-41aa-aea0-49488ec48776)

It competed with the Stoner rifle in the military SASS trials. I forget why it wasn't chosen

not a bad rifle, Mach, but it uses modified M14 mags, not the DPMS-style mags for which Magpul makes Pmags.

Actually, all the AR-10 rifles use the second gen mags now, which are proprietary. Can still use M14 mags, but they may not engage the BHO. I use both in my 10-A2 carbine, but prefer the gen II 25 rounders.

The Thompson was issued in WWII so get one of those. :D

Ok, maybe that's my desire creeping in. I can't imagine what a true full auto would cost, but I want one bad. If I ever hit the lottery...

Of course for that happen I'll have to start playing...

I decided to go the unique route. I picked up a FN Fs2000 today. Gotta say, the feel and balance of this gun is really nice. Also went with a Aimpoint CompML3 as the sight. Dang Aimpoints are expensive..

Still have money left over so I am looking for another handgun. After work I will hit the shops again. I'll post up photos's once I come up with the handgun..

Woofers;

Although I realize that you're somewhat less than enthusiastic about reloading, I'd give it a second thought t'were I you. There are a couple of cogent points that should get your attention. 1. Have you noticed the incredible increase in ammunition prices over the last coupla years? Although metals prices have gone down, the OTC price of ammo has not dropped in proportion. 2. If you buy into the equipment & components now, the future will not be able to bite you in the posterior. Were you aware that GCA68 contained the provision that all ammunition sales had to be recorded, and were for awhile? Although it's since been rescinded, there's nothing to say that that provisio couldn't be reinstated. 3. And you do know what the Boy Scouts say don't you?

I know reloading is just not for me. I don't see myself spending hours at the workbench cranking out rounds.

Also since my heart is not really into it there is the possibility of becoming distracted and making a mistake. I don't want to blow up any of my guns because of that.

I can barely find time to go shooting these days much less spend the time and effort needed for reloading.

Perhaps you should buy a couple cases of 5.56 instead? Believe me, I understand the desire to spend every extra dime on firearms, but without fodder, I've found it very difficult to enjoy them after the initial new toy petting stage.
