Right here in Potter County. There seems to be Bear all over the place this year. Looks as if the rain will come in the evening on Monday.

Don't think we have the plentitude you seem to have up there Steve ..... but numbers do seem to have been on increase here ... coyote too.

Haven't as yet tried the beer hunting ... but guess if we get further improvement in numbers, could well be on next year's agenda.

Black bear populations are doing well all over. I've got a photo of a nice one taken in Pike county this summer , we figured 400 lbs which would increase by Nov. I first saw him 15' away. I'll send you the photo if you want to know what a bear looks like . LOL

Here in the Catskill Mtns someone just got a 735 lb bear. This is one of the biggest bears ever taken in NY.

They grow them big in PA. Top three bears taken in PA this year are 864, 837, and 808 lbs. www.tristatenews.com .
