Looking at M57 (no dash). Pinned barrel, 4", nickel, minty condition.

What's a fair/reasonable price for one of these?

I've become enamored of the .41 Mag lately, 'n have been looking for one of these.

You don't list where you live and prices vary through
the country, but here in s.w. Idaho, that Mdl. 57 would bring at least $500.00. If it had the original box, papers, and tools, it would bring $600.00/650.00.

No box/papers/goodies, but looks to be in killer shape.

I think Leanwolf's numbers are accurate. Original grips and type will also influence price - if an early example with diamond targets, that would add $100 right there vs. a later one with Magna grips. Rubber or other aftermarket grips and nice shape - $500. Early model with original targets, - $650.

I have a 4" nickel M57 that I bought in 2006. It's a great gun, but it is getting hard to find one for under $550 here in the Northeast.

If you reload (and who can shoot the .41 without handloading?) Berry's Bullets sells a 220 grain plated .41 bullet that I've used with success in my Model 57.

In the original, factory wooden case and in ANIB condiiton, its not uncommon
to find the Smith model 57's fetch'ing $750 and upwards; provided all tools
[are unused], and all documents are present~! ;) :)

From what you say, I feel it is easily worth $650 and perhaps a bit more. Model 57's are often priced a little higher than the equivalent Model 29 based on my experience. Didn't use to be that way.
