I am looking for my first shotgun, also my first hunting gun. I'd like to get gun that will shoot duck shot, turkey loads, and slugs for deer. I understand I will need 2? different barrels. Are there any guns that fill this purpose? Initially my need for a 3 in one is for price, I can enter the sport in a bunch of areas without buying multiple guns.
As far as pump or semi, I don't know I have no experience with either. I do however have some friends with Benellis, SX3s, and 870s.
Anyone?

Why do you NEED 2 barrels?

Mossberg 500 with a slug barrel and a full choke barrel. I believe WM still sells these in combo packages for around 300.

Try out some different shotguns, there's abundant GP shotguns out there.

If I had just one to do everything, it would be an 870 with a 21" turkey barrel and choke tubes. Two barrels, one open sighted short barrel for slugs and defense and something like a 28" barrel with tubes for all else.

Of course, the Mossberg 500 will work well also. Get the one that feels best.
