One tiny dot at a time... :D

It's almost as 'grippy' to the hand as the stick-on sandpaper, but dosen't catch on fabric as easily.

It's weird, but in a cool sort of way. What did you use?

I'm thinking it would look cool also if you did it in some type of design. Like say the glock "G" on a glock or the trident on a Beretta...

Looks like the surface of the moon.

That is really cool. you may have started a new trend! what did you use, and how did you do it? it would be cool to do some designs, like people do with regular grips for like a 1911 or something.

can be described as a sand blast texture.

however, you most likely destroyed what little factory warranty you had.

Looks good. I'd hate to think how tedious it must have been to do.

huh. interesting.

Will those little holes get all filled with dirt and hand spooge and sweat and stuff? I would be interested in how easy it is to clean after hard use.

Thanks guys!

I used a soldering iron with a tip that I filed to a really sharp point.

It took about 4.5 hrs.

A stiff bristled toothbrush with some Hoppe's followed by a blast of compressed air will clean it right up.

I did my glock with a soldering iron, and later did it with a chisel tip on a woodburning pen. Also did the stock on my Mossberg 590.

And yes, it is easy cleaned with compressed air.

Interesting..LOL Yes you would void the warranty..Any modifying to a firearm will void a warranty.Besides the point really though..I can see where in a wet environment this might be useful..

Have to say when I first saw the thread title I was figuring melted as in to close to a camp fire or something like that..Ha ha..
