Smith and wesson 360PD..

good morning peeps! well i did something that i hope is the right thing, as you guys all know i have the 442 and 438 for only a week or so right, so i went to one of the shop and they have this sw 360pd, the price tag was 870, nothing against the 38 special round i know it has enough power to stop a BG but I always like the 357mag caliber, IMHO i feel confident that 1 or 2 of 357mag rounds will definetly stop somebody . I know i probably lost maybe 50 to 70bucks on the trade but atleast I have what i wanted to be my permanent CCW piece, I will practice with 38 specials, maybe shoot a couple of 357mag just to feel the power, I will be loading it with the Hornandy critical defense 125gr every time i'm CCW it so anyway I know some of you will think I'm nuts but hey you only live once right,,,here it is..

How do they shoot?

I have only read a shot review (extremely brief) in one of the editions of Combat Handgunnery, this one was written by Massad Ayoob, his shot very low and not very well either. I have a hard time believing he was significantly at fault, I think he shoots enough for that to not be the problem.

You not nuts losing a few bucks on a trade usallly happens but if you got what you reallly wanted that's what matters. I'm very happy with .38 snub and see no need for the .357, lots of blast and kick for what I feel is not that much more power from these short tubes. I think you should shoot it more with the .357 I know in a fight you won't notice the blast and kick but if you hasn't shot it a lot to control it the rounds still wont be on target unless you practice a lot with the hot loads.

If you're referring to the M&P 340, it has a SS cylinder, night sight, and weighs a little more.

Superb SD gun. Get some .38 Spl +P ammo. You'll find them to be pleasurable as compared to the Magnums. You can get the same SD Ammo IE: Critical Defense, DPX, Etc...

360pd HAS a hammer,,,,340pd is Hammerless
