I picked up an NEF 12ga. single shot today. 28" barrel, modified choke. I found a Sports Authority on the other side of town that had one for $51.97. I called a Wal-Mart near me and they had one and I asked them to match the price (which they did).

Can't believe I found one for that price.

(By the way, what can you use a modified choke for? Is it too much of a compromise?)

Great deal! Now BA/UU/R and have a blast.

Modified is SUPPOSED to be the compromise choke. Some act like Full, others like Skeet, and oft loads make or break the shot. Use cheap field loads for close stuff, trap loads for way out there.

NOTE.

These run very light, do not try heavy loads at first. Oz loads are nigh optimum for most shots. Enjoy...
