Picked up a Rusty Kimber 82G .22 cal from CMP. They are surplus but new never used , single shot .22 military trainer rifles. They normally sell for $600.00 which is to rich for my blood but receintly started selling what the call "Rusty Kimbers" Mine had a very small amount of surface rust on the bolt which cleaned off with emory cloth and oil. They are a great deal for $600.00
I shot her for the first time the other day and did OK for the conditions. Had alot of wind with gusts. Tried to shoot between gusts but some got away from me. This rifle should shoot under 3/4 of a inch at 50 yds
Shot these at 50 yds with cheap Federal ammo. With good ammo and better conditions she should be a tack driver

that rifle is capable of much better than 3/4 inch at 50 yards... if you do your part, it is capable of .22 cal groups though more difficult with the peeps.... WHICH I AM JEALOUS OF!!!!! They are incredible guns...

Yours actually HAD rust on it? The "rust" on mine came off as a yellow stain on a rag when it hit it with brake parts cleaner.

I've had mine for a couple of months now, best 400.00 I ever spent.

Mine can do close to a 1/4 inch at 50yds with the Eley Tenex. What really surprised me was how well it did with the budget Eley Sport (purple box) that's made in Mexico. This is with iron sights on a A23 target.
