Does any carry or admit ot carring a pocket 25acp sometimes....I carry a Beretta Bobcat loaded with Magsafe ammo...is the 25 cartridge a dead duck...I have read the ballistic reports on 25's but it will still make a leak...and most BG do not want to leak....Most of the time I carry my Sig 220 in 45ACP...Just want thougths on the 25

Sure I'll admit it.

I think Beretta's Jetfire is one of the all time great pocket guns.

I carry mine with Hornady or Speer JHP's. I doubt they'll expand, but they should be less likely to glance off a bone than a roundnose FMJ, and will penetrate better than a frangible exotic.

Currently don't have, but I admit I did and will again. I like the all metal gun Beretta makes. I prefer the Jetfire as my first choice, tho', wee bit smaller and all than the Bobcat , I never had a problem with either. 25 ACP is another tool in the toolbox. For me the accuracy of these things due to trigger is a plus to me over a larger cartridge in a gun of same/similar size with a trigger I tried and don't like. Its that shot placement and reliable dealie with me.

Not at present, but I did in the past. To be specific, either an old Colt model 1908 Vest Pocket Pistol, or a Baby Browning. Both were loaded with ordinary ball ammunition. The reason was that I sometime worked late, and there had been a rash of parking lot muggings. In colder weather I had a Colt .32 automatic in a topcoat pocket - also loaded with ball. I once encountered an individual after dark who I don’t think was going to ask me for a match. In any case when he discovered that I, unlike most potential victims, was armed he departed in great haste. These days many of the “Tactical Types” look down their long noses at small calibers and ball ammunition. I don’t. I have no doubt that I could have stopped the above mentioned individual if it had become necessary. One has too wonder, how did people survive before the arrival of today’s high performance ammunition?

I have a Beretta M21a that often finds it's way into my front pocket. Although it usually backs up something more substantila that I carry, I have found myself out and about in the summer months carrying only the little Beretta.

I carried a Jetfire for years but have since moved up to a Kel-Tec P-32 and Kel-Tec P-3AT (.380).
I also used Magsafe ammo in my Jetfire but would probably go with FMJ if I were to carry it again.

Have two; carry occasionally. A colt vest pocket 1908; and a Berretta 948 James Bonds original piece. I gernerally carry a Walther TPH in .22 with CCI stingers, and from what I' ve personnally found the .25acp is about equivilant with speer gold dots. Chrono, penetration ect. The Gold dots do expand, they are desighned velocity specific. The Stingers .22 Do not. They both get the 12" penetration the so called "experts" yak about.:)

I carry my Baby Browning around the house... seems reliable with any ammo I've fed it... currently using Win ball but switching to Hornady XTP after 100 rounds go without a hitch.

My INOX Jetfire is in my pocket right now. After reading Preacerman's report on Magsafe's, I took out the tiny, yellow nosed cartridge and looked at it. Hummm. There just couldn't be many pellets in there. Winter's coming on too. (More clothes to go through.) So I reloaded my Jetfire with Fiocchi FMJ's. I reckon it could be my imagination, but the little Fiocchi cartridges seem to have a bit more strength than their domestic counterparts. What do ya' think?

I don't yet, but I will. I have a Beretta Jetfire on the way. I went to the gunshow yesterday and picked up a bunch of ammo of it. Can't wait to try it out...

I should probably mention that I didn't intend to carry it as a "primary" though. It will back up my Makarov...

I carried a Bauer .25, the copy of the Browning Baby, a few times.
I stuck it in the top of my cowboy boot and it stayed there and was invisible.

In a pocket, without a pocket holster, the Bauer printed more than my Beretta 21A. It tended to turn around so the grip was up also. I carried it with an empty chamber so it would have been slow to get into action.
As soon as I got a pocket holster for a .38 snub the Bauer went back into the safe. I take it out and shoot it now and then but don't carry it any more.

I don't own a .25acp but if I did and I was in a CCW state I would be willing to carry one. First, it is small and unabtursive. It would be very easy to carry as a backup to something else. Second, I live in a non-CCW state. Right now all I can carry is a knife and pepper spray. A .25acp is an improvement over either in some situations so I would certainly be able to appreciate a .25acp. That said, I would prefer something larger, but in a backup or in certain situations where a gun is unlikely to be needed and/or one can't really carry more it has its place.

I purchased some Jetfire EL walnut grips for 20 bucks on Auction Arms. They're handsome, smooth, and have the Beretta symbols. (The "EL" model is no longer offered by Beretta. It was like a "delux" model--nice blue finish and walnut grips.) I've seen lots of nice wood Jetfire grips at gunshows. I just refinished my walnut grips. Came out pretty nicely too. :)
