First they invade our country, influence our elections, demand welfare for their citizens, and now this.

Does anyone think the US gives a <insert favorite expletive here> what the World Court OR Mexico thinks/says/does?

Turn it around. Does Mexico give a :cuss: about what we think about their CJ system? I think not. Anyone who is the least familar with Mexcan "justice" knows that it's a corrupt, stinking system.
They can go pound sand.

"Saying it had exhausted other alternatives, Mexico appealed to the World Court on Tuesday to stop the execution of 51 of its citizens in the United States.
Mexico had initially sought to spare 54 citizens, but said at the start of hearings that three were removed from death row by Illinois Gov. George Ryan, who this month commuted the sentences of 167 inmates, mostly to life in prison, over concerns about capital punishment in his state. "
Thank you Governor Ryan.
I wonder how many of these 54 citizens were here illegally, and if Mexico had kept them out of this country in the first place they wouldn't be on our death row- most likely they'd be rotting in a Mexican h#llhole.

Airwolf,
You bring up a good point. The Mexican justice system is very corrupt. There was a well-known case here in SE Texas about six years ago where a guy named Tommy Bean had crossed into Mexico for lunch after having dove-hunted near the border. He had removed his guns from his vehicle before crossing the bridge, but inadvertantly left a single box of shells under a seat. His car was inspected on the Mexican side of the bridge not 30 yards from the U.S. border. He was arrested and the federales threw him in prison where he was sentenced to a multi-year term for that infraction. After six months of political pressure, he was released but, under agreeement with the U.S., he retains his felony conviction here, so he is prohibited from ever owning or shooting a gun for the rest of his life, simply because he forgot to take a box of of friggin' shotgun shells out of his truck. I will never visit that stinking sewer to the south.

Seriously,
When Mexico finally get serious about its own political and legal corruptness, maybe we'll seriously listen to them. I was there once as a teenager, and won't go back anytime soon.

Mexico has it's death penalty, bullet to the back of the head and a shallow
grave.:fire:
If I seem a little harsh about Mexico it is
because I have grown very tired of
there dumping on the usa. There abuse
of "all" american taxpayers is terrible,
and our own government seems not to care.

1. Stay home where they treat their murderers "humanely."
2. Don't come up here and do any murders. If you're going to kill, stay home and kill DEA agents like the mexican police do.

I just hope the US doesn't start listening to the World Court. We're in trouble if that happens.

When we're finished with Saddam, it's time to add our 51st state. Just south of Texas.
The people are here, might as well have the real estate.

Not for long, WilderBill. Unless we actually do something about those sieves we call borders!
And if Vicente Fox gets his way (if GW gives in) they'll all quailify for US social programs before their feet are dry.
I know the only way my Mother-in-law will ever visit "home" again is if it's part of the US! :D You should hear her talk about the groups that want to retake the southern US for Mexico! Talk about :cuss: !

Given the corrupt nature of the Mexican governement and its totally inequitable treatment of its citizens why aren't any American Institutions encouraging civil protest and unrest there? Where are the civil rights organizers and unionists? Why aren't universities mobilizing students to educate mexicans that are here to go back and take control of their country?

Back in the mid 80's I was doing my part for Mexican reform by going around to cops I knew and buying pistols they wanted to get rid of for a low price. I told them I was reselling to a Mexican bringing them across border to resell in Chiapas ect. I was making 400-500% profit on a good sized cardboard box at a time. The er "importer" was making 1000% . Lots of worn Smiths and Stars and various stuff . Unforntuneatly one of the Llama's I got from local detective turned up at murder a few days later. The 'importer' had decided to sell a couple for gas money. I 'did lunch' with the ATF agent a month or so later and he made me sign a document saying I was advised that this was 'trafficing in arms without a license' offense and if I did it again it was 10+ years. OK I never sold another gun since except thru dealers and now that is the law anyway. ATF agent was firm but nice and offered me a FFL, which I declined telling him truthfully he would never hear from me again. He said only law I had really broken was "exporting without a permit" or something and that was not an ATF problem. This was when all you needed was a bill of sale in Ca.(which I had from LEO's).

Actually, we took a big piece of their country. Texas, California and Oregon used to be Mexican. We took them mainly by force of arms. To the winners go the spoils.
The government of Mexico has always been corrupt and still is. They have alot of resources but are still 3rd world. Until they get a clue and real un-corrupt leadership, they will remain 3rd world. Too bad really, they have alot going for them. I think they will figure it out eventually.

Actually, Russ, most of the Californians of the day including Vallejo chose to go with the Bear Flag and then join the US. The idea that California was stolen is misinformation. What was stolen and continues to be so is the vast wealth and resourses of Mexico from its citizens by a corrupt Mexican government. You made that point also.
I agree with you when you say it was was "taken." But it was also given by those living here.

Taken , hmmmm here my history books said Santa Anna was paid millions as the head of the Mexican Gov. at the time. Of course he and all their other rulers since ran off with the $$$.:)

You know, I really grow weary of this stuff.
Why don't America just wax these idiots and take over the world? Why are we screwing around with these people?
Think about it, with America in charge it would be really great or we'd really screw it up. Ha!
I feel better now, thank you.
