Is 399.00 to much for a new sp101 38 stubbie?

$399 is what I would see on a new one around here. I paid $289 about 6 mos. ago for a bobber hammer version in .357. I have since traded it, as I've decided if I've gotta have a gun large enough to require a holster, I want six shots. They are however fine guns.

I paid $379 for my 3-inch .357 version new this summer. This weekend the prices are $349 at two different stores. Every year firearms are discounted around this time because of the end of hunting season. Additionally, Sportsmans Wharehouse also lists 6% off these prices. Price there would be $349 minus 6%.

Mine finished up at $389 with the sales tax added on ...... not perhaps the lowest deal but I like to support the local guys.

Gee, I guess I paid too much for mine. I got a 2 1/4" spurred hammer .357 for $409. This was at Turner's Outdoorsman, San Bernardino, CA. I saw one today in a Vegas gun show for $359.

I looked at a SP101 357 3" yesterday at a gun show. $347.00. I have been wanting one for awhile and I almost bought it, but then my 13 yr old son dragged me back to the Winchester 9417, 17hmr lever action. Why is it that my new gun always ends up being the one he wants.
