The Saxet Gun Show will come to the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe, Texas again on 10th & 11th of April 2010.

If you get a chance to take a look its generally not a bad show to see. It not so big that you can't see it all and ammo and loading components are sold in abundance.

The SAXET gun show happens almost every weekend and it is around the state. SAXET, Texas spelled backwards, is about the nr 1 gun show here. It has their show in San Antonio, the first Sat & Sun of every calender monthy.

Saxet's the ONLY show that makes it down to the lower Rio Grande Valley. It'll be down here in Pharr this weekend.

It's not a great show, but it's the only one we've got.

I have not been to a Saxet show since I was thrown out of the Conroe show several years ago.
My offense...I was walking the aisle near the front entrance when a guy walked into the show building carrying a rifle and a shotgun with dowel rods down the barrels with a for sale sign attached to them.
I saw right away that the rifle had a vent rib on it and approached the guy to check it out.
Again we were INSIDE the show not in the lobby or parking lot.
Sure enough it was a first year production(1964) Remington 600 in not so common 6mm with a redfield 2x7 scope on it.
He wanted $325.00 and was the original owner.
I bought it straight away.
Guy running the show told me I should have waited for the table dealers to get a chance to look at it.
I laughed at that suggestion and was told to get out.
I killed the biggest buck in my 47 years of deer hunting(151 B&C) with that little rifle that December.
I will pass on Saxet friends.

Saxet was the only decent show in Austin and left because of a dispute with the place where it was held.
