Companies that sell to MA?

I was trolling other forums and noticed that a poster had been edited for posting the names of companies that would sell to a C&R holder in MA... This doesn't apply to me at all, but I'm curious as to why this was such a no-no.

The MA attorney general has gone after some of the big name companies for selling ammo (and components!) to MA. Some theory of needing a license to sell in the state/not knowing if the person is licensed or some such.

This was several AGs ago, but I doubt there has been any official change in policy.
