Just what the title says. I have Milt Sparks VMII with belt loops. Works great with a cover garment. I carry a commander or officer's 1911 in it. I bought the tuckable clips for it and tried it last night. I don't see how I could get dressed without assistance. I just don't know if this rig is the best tuckable option for me. I typically wear a tucked in golf type shirt at work. When wearing that attire I pocket carry a .380, but I much prefer the 1911. I would love to hear suggestions based on your experiences with different rigs. I'm 5'10" and weigh 172lbs. I wear my VMII at the 4:00 position.

Check out kholster...same concept as supertuck, just a little cheaper.I have one for a 1911 and one for an M&P.They've both been great!

You might want to check out Comp-Tac too. They have the Minotaur series that is a combination of kydex and leather that works great for me. I like the C clips that you can get on them, too. The only thing you see with the C clips are two little tabs at the top and bottom of your belt.

The Mitch Rosen Workman made for the 1911 officers model has been perfect (for me) for years. I assume that since you are a Milt Sparks man you'll probably want to stick with a high quality leather.

I've recommended the particular holster to close associates who've also used them for both full size 1911 and officers sized 1911 on a daily basis.

My only regret has been not getting one for the full size 1911.

I wear my comp-tac MTAC as a tuckable quite often and like it a lot. And Comp-tacs customer service is SECOND TO NONE.

It takes practice. Keep trying. When I started out with a tuckable, I felt like how my little boy must feel; he can hardly put his own pants on by himself, but eventually he'll get the hang of it and so will you. Once you've done it day after day after day, it's just like putting on your shoes. You'll figure it out, trust me.

Me too. I wear a custom 'Texas Heritage' by William Tucker and it is up there with other custom holsters. He makes a holster called 'The Answer', that you might want to check out. I made that mistake. Usually 2 or 3 inches in waist size. If you go check out BeltMan (www.thebeltman.net), he gives you the pointers on how to order the right belt for you. I ordered a belt with my exact waist measurement and forgot to account for the IWB holster. I'm on the very end hole when I carry, which isn't a total loss, I just need to lose some weight and I'll be fine.:o

But the pants I wear never changed. They had enough room in them for the holster without getting tight. The belt is what I screwed up on.

Not to hijack the thread, but is there a quantifiable way to determine how many pant sizes you need to go up to carry IWB? I normally wear Dockers style pants. I go up 1 size for IWB. A while back my wife came home with Dockers that have an elastic waist (you can't tell from the outside). They stretch exactly 1 size so you can get them in your regular size and they will stretch to accommodate IWB carry. She told me that she also saw jeans like that, Wrangler if I remember correctly.

I have the medium at it holds the Bersa .380 or my new Taurus 709 Slim with not issue. You can wear it with jeans, dress pants, cargo shorts, pretty much whatever.

Sparks makes a good holster. I would give it some time before getting another one. Just like any other carry option, it takes some getting used to. Practice for a while, then decide. After that, you could try a CompTac or Crossbreed or one of the others listed.

Just got a High Noon split Decision today. It seems to work really well, light, comfortable, good retention, and danged if my CZ82 didn't just disappear completely after I tucked my shirt in and fluffed it around the edges a bit. It's an amazing holster.

I have a drawer full of different IWB AND hidden holsters. I recently added two more and for my S&W 642 airweight I have finally settled on the crossbreed super tuck deluxe as the best deal and most comfortable. I have also settled on the Bell Charter deep drop bandit as the worst deal in the market.

The Croosbreed line is not the prettiest in the market but it is the most functional and also the most comfortable mainly due to it's weight distribution across a wide separation between the clips. You will find you don't even know the holster is on with a good 1 1/2 belt (beltman horsehide or crossbreed bullhide). It is truly tuckable, doesn't need an undershirt and reholstering is very easy. Service was good since it is a small shop being about 4 weeks and their support is great.Good value at $69.95 plus postage for the cowhide version plus whatever belt you choose. I chose the beltman horsehide with velcro for the V clips. About $100. or so but it is a lifetime investment as these belts are exactly that. I recommend highly the supertuck for any weapon and have many times already.

At the other end of the spectrum is the Bell Charter Oaks Holsters. Now I admit I was disappointed in paying $79.00 for a $20.00 piece of leather sewed together with a clip. The holster indeed hides well but it for sure, once it has been drawn, be impossible to put back into the holster without half undressing. It is half way tuckable because the clip is open at the top but you need to wear an undershirt with the BCO holster. With only one clip and the weight of the weapon not distributed at all no less adjustable for cant it doesn't really offer much at all. Customer service is really non existent and it is a 4-6 week wait for the holster minimum. Maximum thumbs down on Bell Charter Oaks at any price other than free.

I've converted many OWBs and IWBs to tuckables. All it takes are some Chicago Screws (sometimes called "post screws"), some snaps (you can get them at Wal Mart) and some leather.

Punch holes near the bottom of the holster and attach two straps with Chicago screws. Then attach the belt loops to the other end of the straps with Chicago screws. If you're working with an OWB and don't have belt loops, make them by putting snaps in the ends of a shorter strap, so they wrap around the belt and snap -- and attach them to the straps with Chicago screws.

For a really stable tuckable, substitute an inverted U of .09 Kydex for the straps.

i agree, i use and like the Cross breed super tuc, as fas as pants, about 1 size bigger is the way that i go. of course this is gonna depend on what you are are carrying, the kinda holster etc. i wear different varients of 5.11 pants, that have elastic waist so i can carry in or out, and be comfortable.
