Been trying to install Hogue nylon monogrip on a K-frame. Problem is they get about 3/4s of the way on and then they wont slilp up the frame and stiurrup anymore, and also do not slip back off. Houge's directions make it seem very easy but does anyone have some suggestions or tip? Thanks

Are they both for a square butt or both for a round butt K-frame ?
I hope so.
Once in a while I need to trim the locating pin that's in the butt of the frame to get them to go OK. Otherwise some will bind as they are too long, or off center a little.
If the locating pin on the gun looks off center, tap it in and make it the same on both sides. Then retry the install.

If it's a rubber one, just bend it out a bit. A few whacks with the palm of the hand and a few choice cuss words is all I ever needed. The one I put on my old Security Six was a nylon one. I really prefer the rubber. The wood ones are pretty, but that nylon one overlapped the grip frame and was a little sharp. First time I fired it with hot loads, it cut two slits in the palm of my hand bad enough to draw blood. I had to trim it down with a knife to match it to the grip frame. The SP101 or GP100, not having the same type grip frame, wouldn't not be a problem, but a K frame would, possibly. I had a rubber one on my SP101 I really liked and have rubber ones on my 3" Taurus 66 and 4" M10 HB now.
