Methinks this would set a trend and rocket the sales of this strange yet alluring flatshooting ammo.

I think it would work in the 10/22 magnum receiver.

Is it available already?

Thoughts?

:)

Tom Gresham has reported on his radio sow "Gun Talk" that the 10/17 is coming very soon.

All you need to do is buy a .17 barrel to change a 10/22 magnum into a 10/17. The .17's fit right in the mags and everything. I personally don't care if ruger makes them because i don't fancy ruger barrels anyhow.

As for converting the 10/22 mag to 17 HMR. It can be done with any 77/17 barrel and an appropriately sized shim/spacer.

Check this out for more info on this method:

I dropped in Butler Creek's conversion in my 10/22M recently.

The BC barrels aren't known for their accuracy/precision but mine is shooting very well. Much better than when I shot .22 mag through it. Got the conversion from Sportsman's Guide.

Where in WV are you located? If it's anywhere near Belpre, OH, I can let you try it out some weekend. (Only have 1 free weekend in December, though.)
