Check out DPMS. Don't know what they sell for but I'm pretty sure you can get one for much less than the Armalite. Go to www.gunblast.com/DPMS-308.htm for a review on the rifle.

FAC has them listed for $814 (Cheap). Very accurate with match ammo. I believe they use Wilson barrels which are pretty decent barrels for the money.

The Eagle Arms AR-10 is the cheapest, and perhaps the best buy out there. That's the bargain label Armalite.
There are many others out there: DPMS, American Spirit Arms, and Knights are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

The Armalite has been around longer, and can use modified M14 mags for 20 round capacity. The Eagle Arms equivalent is moderately(for the type of rilfe) priced.
The DPMS is a relative newcomer, but has been getting good reviews. It can use the SR25 mags for 20 round capacity, but these are pricey.
Unless you are made of money, don't even bother with the Knights SR25. A great rifle for sure, but at least double the price of the others.
ASA? Absolutely no customer service. If they ever got the version that will accept FAL mags off the ground, that would be tempting.....
